I think they both look great. Such bold colors. Nice job.

oh, beautiful!
I love the colors, but then i love bright colors anyways.
i'm new in this but varying the stripes in the weft would look better.i'm so glad someone else likes more colorful towels :)

The towels are beautiful! I love the design elements you've included!

Surprisingly (to me) I like the first towel better - but I think that might just be the weave-geek in me coming out - I like that you can see the varied twills because of the contrast between the black and the other colors.

I just peeked at some asymmetrical handwoven towels in my kitchen. The weft stripes are proportioned the same way as the warp stripes....so they're asymmetrical in both warp and weft. (I hope that makes some sense to you.) I wonder how your next towel would look if you wove that way. It sounds like you're already thinking along those lines!

Love, love, love the colors!

hey.

that black offsets the pink n blue/green nicely. it's not easy to get those two working together happily, but i think you've got it.

as for twills, i've had a lot of fun with diamond twills, but i've always made a proper hash of the colours while doing them.

i guess i'm a straight draft chap at heart.

I can imagine you like the first towel better and are a bit disappointed in the second. The first is simply a bit 'quieter'. But once you take the towels off the loom, this second towel may surprise you! It has happened to me many times, that the parts I didn't feel so good about on the loom, were more or less favorites off loom. Keep trying out things! It's great to play.
