Well, it looks quite nice from here RD! As someone who enjoys working with mohair as warp, nothing wrong with a little bit of fuzz!

Thanks, Theresa :-)
I do hope it turns out well despite, but I'm concerned that it will have a pilled-and-worn-out fuzzy look, not a mohair-like purposely fuzzy look.

But... I'll just have to wait and see!

I have a friend with a scarily-similar warp....although hers started causing problems while she was dressing the loom. She was already threatening it with scissors!

Do you find that it abrades near the reed or near the heddles? I was surprised on a recent project to have problems with felting near the heddles....but not many problems near the reed.

Slow and steady wins the race, right! I hope you'll have a beautiful shawl and not just a "learning experience".

What admirable perseverance! Hopefully there will be a happy surprise in the end - remember all great things happen that way!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you love this piece so much after it's finished that you'll be glad you kept those scissors hidden! I have been known to sacrifice a warp or two to the weaving goddess over the past 23 years.
